  • Choose Nira for

Rigging your own characters, creatures, and in-depth editing.

  • Choose DeepMotion for

Capturing a real performance from video, including hands and face.

  • Both do

    Animation from a text prompt.

Where the motion comes from

DeepMotion's Animate 3D extracts motion from ordinary video, with body, hand, and face tracking and support for multiple people. SayMotion generates motion from text. Nira generates motion from text and reference poses on your own rig, and it can take constraints (a planted foot, a held pose) as part of the request.

Characters and rigging

DeepMotion focuses on humanoid characters, including custom humanoid characters you upload. Nira auto-rigs the characters you bring, whether humanoid, quadruped, bird, dragon, or something stranger, and animates them from text, so it is the better fit when you are starting from an unrigged mesh or a non-humanoid.

Editing

Nira puts every clip on a keyframe timeline with a sequencer, live IK, motion locks, and loop fixes, so refinement happens in the same tab as generation. DeepMotion's focus is capture and generation.
